After a tense couple of weeks due to a complex wildfire situation in the Slocan Valley region, the evacuation order has been rescinded to an evacuation alert for the Village of Slocan and surrounding areas, and Highway 6 has reopened to single-lane traffic.
Please be patient as residents return home and wildfire crews continue to work in the area.
