Using hand-picked local wood and hardwoods from both the West Coast and Eastern Canada, with exotic accents, unique pieces of functional wood art are created by hand in the Nakusp workshop. All materials are high quality and kiln-dried. The features and grains of the wood inspire the finished product – no two are alike. Custom orders are welcome. Design your own unique piece.
Emery Herbals Botanical Dispensary, Healing Suites and Teaching centre is located in the heart of Winlaw, BC, providing open access to consciously sourced botanicals, professional health services and empowering education experiences that encourage and cultivate sustained wellness. Located south of Nakusp in Burton, the tasting room has dry cider made onsite from pure juice with no sugar, sulfites or water added. During the summer, light lunch and snacks are served in the Bistro with local craft beer, wine and liquor in the Lounge. Summer weekends enjoy treats, coffee, picnics or Saturday night open mike nights. Thursday is pizza night. Purchase cider onsite, or check their website for retail outlets.
Female owned and operated, Viva Cacao focus on ethically sourced and environmentally responsible artisan chocolate. Pick up something from their online store, or stop in at a local retailer. They offer a line of dairy free, nutrient dense chocolate bars, drinking chocolate and specialty holiday offerings.
This cultural space showcases local talent and other artists from across Canada. A number of art exhibitions are hosted each year. Call ahead to make an appointment year around or visit from mid-May until Thanksgiving Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. The space can also be rented with a liquor licence and catering to host a small meeting or gathering amongst the art.
